Materials for crochet

• Cotton yarn, smooth and light

  You can see every stitch and the yarn does not split. Buy two balls of the same kind.

• A crochet hook

  The size is printed on the ball band. A plastic or wooden handle is gentler on the hand.

• A tapestry needle

  You use it to weave in ends. The tip should be blunt.

• Scissors and a tape measure

  Small scissors are enough. The tape measure is for your gauge swatch.

• Stitch markers

  A scrap of contrasting yarn works too.
