Pick the yarn
Choose smooth, light-coloured cotton yarn. You can see every stitch and it does not split. The length is printed on the ball band.
- 2
Pick the hook
The ball band names the recommended hook size. If your stitches come out too tight, go up half a size.
- 3
Small helpers
A tapestry needle for weaving in ends, scissors, stitch markers (a scrap of yarn works too) and a tape measure.
- 4
Hold the hook
Hold the hook like a pencil or like a knife. Both are right as long as your hand stays relaxed.
